I have eaten at this restaurant a few times now and each experience was delightful. This time I recommend my daughter and her fiance to stop here on their road trip from Michigan to North Carolina. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the beautifully remodeled building, the music, the service, and the atmosphere. This is a MUST STOP and EAT place to visit because you will enjoy EVERYTHING! The meat balls are to die for. Everything is top notch! Go and enjoy!!!

I went here with my mom after my choir concert. My mom was dying to try this place. Since it wasn't late and I was hungry as well, we gave it a go. We walked in and got helped immediately. Me and my mom requested for outdoor seating and it was such a lovely day out to eat on that patio. Our server Tarez, was very sweet and charming. He checked in on us as needed and let us be which is what we prefer. The food was delicious. Especially the shrimp scampi boat!! My mom torn up that shrimp! I had gotten the Italian wedding soup which was amazing, I finished the bowl in 5 minutes. We ordered this pesto gnocchi to share which came with a side salad. I wish they had caesar dressing but the vinaigrette they had was good too. The gnocchi wasn't me or my mom's cup of tea. But that doesn't mean it was bad. Overall 10/10 experience. Definitely coming back!

Wow, great place. I had the best ever breaded tenderloin and fries. Watching food coming out of the kitchen and it all looked good. Service was good, Kristin was great! Beautiful architect and atmosphere. Prices were not bad. Twelve bucks for the tenderloin, McDonald's would have cost me more .

The food was amazing! Even my kid loved their steak and fries. It was pretty packed but we made a reservation so we got a table immediately. We've also ordered take out from here too and never had any problems.

Our only complaint is that the wait was over an hour&1/2. There was absolutely no place to really wait it was shoulder to shoulder with folks waiting to be seated. Despite the very long wait we enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable the prices were very reasonable as were the portion sizes We would definitely go back. We would recommend you make a reservation if you are planning on going on the weekends

I typically avoid new places on opening night because I know the kinks usually need to be worked out over the first month. However, with only two days in town, I got lucky enough to visit Casa Lu Al on their opening night. When we sat down, we were greeted by Kristin, who was not only amazing but also from the same part of New Orleans I used to live in. She was fun, personable, and knew her stuff, making us feel right at home. We ordered our food, which mostly came out together—apps, salads, and entrees—but hey, it's opening night, so I understand. The red sauce was a nostalgic reminder of the original recipe. The lasagna was definitely deserving of a chef's kiss, and the calamari was cooked to perfection, though the sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste. The carbonara, while cooked perfectly, lacked flavor and excitement. Despite these small issues, I'm glad I got to see the new spot while in town. I'm excited to see how it evolves on my next trip. Big kudos to Kristin; she made the entire dinner enjoyable. I was too full for dessert, so that's on the list for next time. Looking forward to seeing what Casa Lu Al becomes in the future!

My husband and I stopped at Casa Lu AL 10/30 while we were on our way to another restaurant. Their exterior outdoor eating area looked cozy, and the large sign caught our eye. The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place why. Once inside and admitting it was our first time here, the greeter at the front desk described the two levels and what they had to offer. Although the lively atmosphere at street level was really nice, we chose the downstairs, Nonno's Cellar. Walking down the beautiful and lit stairway was like walking into a different restaurant. The beautiful arches that were also lighted and cozy seating choices were absolutely thoughtful and lovely. The music that was playing perfectly completed the ambiance. Our waitress, Sarah, was personable and helpful for our dinner selections. We both love Caesar salads and were a bit disappointed in that not being available. However, we both had a terrific side salad with our meal. My husband chose the Great Lakes walleye and said it was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. I had the fettuccine carbonara, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. There just wasn't much flavor to it. It was nice to have bread. However, it wasn't toasted or warmed up. Between us, we had a red and white wine, a bourbon neat, and a cocktail. All were good and nice pours. Then we were greeted by Emily, who told me about a bourbon cocktail that sounded so good, I had to try it. After her suggestion, I can say I will definitely try a paper plane cocktail again! Thanks, Emily Our visit overall was a wonderful experience. And we will definitely go back. Once home, I started looking into Casa Lu Al and was able to jog my memory about why it sounded familiar. We had actually been before to the restaurant 4 years ago when they were located on the north side of Lima. I recall that our experience there wasn't a great one. We did not like the cramped, older interior. I can't recall much about the food we had, so it must not have been memorable. If anyone has gotten this far in my long review, that has been to their previous location and wasn't a fan, all I can say is to make sure to try their new location. You will not be disappointed. They have definitely stepped up their game!

It's nice to have a good Italian restaurant in town. The staff was attentive and the service was quick! The atmosphere was not quite as relaxed for a Italian restaurant as I like, but if your looking for a romantic night out their decorative scene will hit the spot. The outdoor dinning atmospher looked like a lovley spot to relax and eat, but it was raining the day we went. The food was delicious. STARTER: I wasn’t impressed with the Breaded Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella Fritta. It was way too loaded with parmason cheese on top and I wasn't impressed with the breading. It just wasn't a good mix of ingredients. The CASA LU AL LASAGNA was packed full of cheese and sauce. It was good. However, I felt like the noodles where missing and would have liked a better balance. I probably won't get it again. The Italian Breaded Chicken Parmigiana was a winner! At first I thought it looked a bit dry, but when I took that first tast it was moist and flavorful. It's a lot of chicken and not a lot of spaghetti. I'm not complaining this was perfect for me, but I know if my son had come he would have liked more spagetti. The Side Salad was packed with veggies! Carrots, cucumbers, radishes, and onions. I would recommend ordering the dressing on the side. It felt like too much dressing on top. The complimentary bread was fresh and good. My husband disagreed he expected something unique from and Italian restaurant (whatever that meant... I just think he wanted garlic bread) Overall it was a great experience and I'll be back.
